The Comvergent drive testing team have been performing a large number of carrier-wave trials in recent weeks, visiting areas across the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

In fact, in one week alone the team managed to include England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Eire and Wales in a 5 day whistle-stop tour.

The team have been setting up trial antenna masts in remote and rural locations, transmitting test signals which are then scanned to accurately record coverage levels across the test areas in question.

Carrier-wave trials allow mobile network operators and service providers to obtain ‘real’ coverage data which cannot be provided by computer-modelled coverage predictions alone.
